Meet Kellyann

My name is Kellyann Fletcher and I have worked with children and families for over 20yrs. Originally my background began in Early years and developed into Education, in which I hold a BA Honours degree.

 

Following my degree, I began working within a Therapeutic service supporting children, young people, and families with all aspects of their Emotional Health and well-being. I supported some of the more vulnerable families within their home environment and often worked with children on a 1-1 basis in schools. 

 

This led to my Play Therapy journey. I trained with Play Therapy UK initially as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner and continued to qualify at a Postgraduate Diploma level in Play Therapy; to become a certified Play and Creative Arts therapist. I have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people to overcome their difficulties.

 

Since qualifying as a Play and Creative Art therapist, I have continued to progress, and I am now qualified as an Accredited Play Therapist. This identifies the level of experience a Play therapist has. Accredited status is not achieved until a therapist has completed over 450 direct one to one sessions with children, and it helps you identify between what might be a newly qualified therapist, and an experienced play therapist. Both of which are qualified to support your child, however will support you in making a more informed decision.
